🐷 Social Capital

What is social capital? Social capital refers to the value that comes from relationships built on trust, goodwill, and mutual investment. In an academic setting, it's the currency of being known as someone who shows up, participates, and genuinely tries. When a student asks me for an extension, extra credit opportunity, or a letter of recommendation, the single biggest factor in my response is whether I know them as an engaged member of our classroom community. That's social capital at work. The behaviors below are small — but they send a big signal about the kind of student and person you are. Choose 3 that you'll genuinely commit to this semester.
